Free Audiobooks Not Available in Premium Account – Users Claim
The free Audiobooks plan for Premium Members was launched recently. When I tried to use it, it said “locked”, and mentioned that I had to pay to access the content. My friends and family are able to listen to the audiobooks for free, but I can’t.
If this is why I am locked out, I wonder if it’s because I use the gift card payment option for Spotify (buying the card at the supermarket then entering the code rather than providing my banking details). If that is the case I think it’s unfair, as I still pay for my membership. Does anyone else have trouble accessing content?

Audiobooks Premium are only available on certain plans, and plan managers can access them.
If you’re a Duo, Family, or Duo Plus member, then the listening time is not available to you. This will be investigated in the future so that Family, Duo, and Duo Plus users can have greater flexibility with their audiobooks.
Make Annual Payments:
Add a credit card or PayPal account to your existing subscription to upgrade to individual premium.
You can add an additional annual before the expiration date.
You will then have access to audiobooks. It’s not that the system isn’t seeing you as having a subscription.
